Saint John de Brébeuf was born on March 25, 1593, in Condé-sur-Vire, France. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1617, driven by a profound desire to serve God and spread the Gospel. In 1625, he journeyed to New France, where he dedicated his life to the Huron people, learning their language and customs to effectively communicate the Christian faith to them.
