Brigid was fostered in a druid’s household, where she absorbed knowledge and spirituality before becoming a consecrated virgin and founding the remarkable abbey of Kildare (Cill Dara). This abbey became a center of learning and spirituality, attracting many followers and nuns who sought her guidance. Brigid is celebrated for her nurturing nature, exemplifying the virtues of poetry, learning, healing, and protection.
