His relics were initially interred in Seville, but with the agreement of Abbad II al-Mu’tadid, the Muslim ruler of the city, they were later moved to León, where they were placed in the Basilica dedicated to him. This basilica, built on the site of an ancient Roman temple, became a center of pilgrimage and reverence, attracting visitors who seek his intercession and guidance.
Today, Saint Isidore is celebrated for his role as a patron of scholars and the internet. His feast day is observed on April 4, and his teachings continue to resonate within the Church.
